With the influence of cultures by those countries that have come in the Philippines and made it their colony, the way Filipinos dress now can sometimes manifest the culture of the countries that once inhabited this country. When occasions like proms and the like come, believe it or not, the way Filipino women dress is very much obvious to have been influenced mostly by the western culture. With that, ladies of these times see to it that if possible, they outshine all other ladies in these particular occasions. They see to it that they wear their best prom dresses even if it would mean that they will spend a lot of money for it. This is a true manifestation of the culture of the western civilization. Either way, as long as you look good and you can carry your dress, it does not really matter if it is liberated or conservative or whatsoever. What is important is that you are able to carry that dress for your self.
